Choosing an AI model
On Team, Business and Dedicated you bring your own AI model. Your data goes only to the provider you choose, you pay that provider directly, and we add no mark-up. We help you choose, free of charge.
What we need to know
- How accurate the answers must be, and who relies on them.
- Your monthly budget for AI, and how many people will ask questions.
- Where your data may go: a region, a private cloud endpoint, or no data retention at the provider.
- Which providers your organisation already has an agreement with.
What you get
One written recommendation: which model for each of the five slots (SQL, Agent, Fast, and optionally Vision and Skills), a starting budget, and how to check the choice in the first week using your own usage log. Further help is available on request.
How H·AI·BI uses a model
The SQL slot writes the queries behind your answers and needs a model that reasons well. The Agent slot runs Deep Dive research and needs reliable tool calling. The Fast slot handles summaries and suggestions, and a small, inexpensive model is usually enough.
